HELLO FRIENDS! Please join me in raising funds for the Photo Center Northwest, an outstanding organization that I have been involved with for many years.
What #1: LONG SHOT PHOTO-THON When: Saturday, June 18 -Sunday, June 19th Cost: $20
What #2: CELEBRATION PARTY & AUCTION When: Saturday, June 25th Who: OPEN TO EVERYONE Cost: FREE
What #3: FUNDRAISING (Whether you participate in the event or not) Goal: $500+
PHOTOGRAPHY is the global language of today and a personal passion of mine. Please help me in fundraising for Long Shot Solstice Photothon, a fun global community event where people around the world take pictures during the same 24 hour period on June 18 &19! Participants then submit their best shots, and one of each of ours is selected by a professional panel and printed for a gallery exhibition. They will be auctioned off at a celebration party on June 25 in support of the Photographic Center Northwest.
I am hoping to put together a "team" to join me in support of this great cause, as well as to provide us the chance to have fun getting out and shooting together once or twice during the 24 hour period. We might want to meet up in the city-maybe for a nature shoot, or at the Zoo, or a night shoot? Of course, you can do your own thing-whatever works best for you.
After we submit our choice shots to the Photo Center they will do the rest; select one of each of our images, print them, and hang them in the show where they will all be auctioned off in support of the Center! The party is a free event that I would encourage you all to attend. It's really fun to see the variety of work and talk to others who have also participated. And who knows…you might want to take home someone's image, maybe even your own!
One last thing...this is a community/ family event for EVERYONE- no matter what the skill level! Please join me in having a great time with our cameras, phones or whatever and expressing the inner photographer in YOU! Let me know if you have any questions and I sincerely hope you will participate with me in one way or another!
Thanks so much, Nancy
